We have gone completely off the rail. Our Congress is now comprised of crooks and carpetbaggers. Every election, depending on status, requires millions of dollars which has made politics a dangerous and expensive proposition. Most house seats require a war chest of at least a million dollars and some several million. Senate and Governors elections require war chests. In Virginia, over 50 million was spent if you count all of the outside groups. So the big guys are putting up their guy and backing him with their money. Where is this money coming from and why are they so eager to spend it? Because they are getting it back 100 fold.
Your choice is between the corporatist and the rubinite. Your media is owned and controlled by the big corporations. Anti-monopoly laws are gone. You can drive a truck through the fair doctrine. The fact that the rural counties in Colorado vote to secede from the state is absolute proof that you can divide people and get them to vote against their own interests. The only hope we have is to congregate together in urban settings, personally know our politicians, look at their votes, and make it hard to break us with money from the outside.
We live in a time where Congress has enacted a law forbidding HHS to negotiate lower drug prices basically giving the drug companies about a trillion dollars; and the EPA has been forbidden from investigating the health effects of fracking utterly ruining our water supply forever. Do we really understand the ramifications of these actions?! The Supreme Court has declared that money is speech and that corporations are people. The last republican nominee was a vulture capitalist. The speaker of the house hands out checks on the house floor. The house members are actively destroying our government and refusing to pay the debt they racked up.
The republicans have stolen and pillaged our country. Since 2000, we have lost 8 trillion in taxes which we could have collected from the rich. We have essentially contracted out the federal government with about a 20% premium because we can't do it right ourselves and need contractors to do it for us. We have started two bogus wars at a cost of about a trillion dollars.
What is the platform for the republicans for the next decade? Here comes the next big fraud. They intend to cut social security and basically eliminate medicare by giving us worthless vouchers. This will free up about a trillion dollars a year that they can they spend on their corporate interests.
Please wake up! Stop hating your fellow man. Abortion is safe and rare. Gays are people too. Lawsuits to recover for damages are necessary to protect people, are insured, and are not frivolous. Blacks are not genetically inferior. Illegal aliens are not trying to steal our jobs.
